Northern Michigan's premiere Substance Use and Addiction Recovery Facility.
Bear River Health (BRH) creates an atmosphere perfect for addressing our patients’ individual recovery needs. BRH acknowledges that each person has a uniqueness all their own and provides treatment personalized to meet those unique needs. Our program provides exposure to multiple pathways to recovery setting the foundation for long-term recovery.

Our compassionate, empathetic and caring professionals have years of experience assisting our patients through withdrawal management from drugs and alcohol and forward on their journey to recovery. We treat drug and alcohol addiction as a chronic and progressive medical disease that affects the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of individuals and their families.

At Bear River Health, we offer a medically supervised withdrawal management program that safely manages the painful symptoms that accompany withdrawal. Our twenty-four hour medical staff utilizes the Evidence Based Practice Protocols established by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Our inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs offer several different, well established, evidence-based, individualized treatment modalities aimed at improving compliance and reducing the risk of relapse.

Bear River Health is accredited with The Joint Commission. We are certified with the American Society of Addiction Medicine through the State of Michigan. We are licensed with Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Authority and the Drug Enforcement Agency. All programs are compliant with Medicaid standards.
