Who We Are

We offer Substance Use Disorder  Recovery Services

Bear River Health offers a network of services for all stages of your recovery journey--from withdrawal management, to separate residential centers for men and women, to multiple outpatient offices offering medically assisted treatment. Our staff consists of caring professionals working together to guide you during your recovery journey in a safe and confidential environment located in northern Lower Michigan.

  • Integrating approved medications with required counseling to sustain recovery

  • This service is provided through affiliations with Better Health & Wellness

  • All FDA-approved treatments except methadone 

  • Available during residential and outpatient programs

Behavioral Health Technician

The Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for the support and mentoring of clients while in our Residential Treatment Facilities. He/she will maintain close communication with Clinical Director, case managers, and therapists. This individual acts as the central receiver of pertinent clinical data and works closely with case managers and therapists in the formulation of treatment planning, responding to crisis and planning for the needs of clients and their environment to ensure efficacy of service delivered.

Counselor

Counselors with work with clients by providing assessments, facilitating workshops, maintaining a small case load, providing individual counseling and group counseling sessions as needed, discharge plans, attending  all staff meetings and embracing the mission of Bear River Health to Save Lives and Foster Growth.

Minimum Qualifications: Experience in substance abuse and dual diagnosis residential treatment facility preferred. Must have a CAADC or CADC or be on a development plan, working under supervision. Completion of the development plan is a condition of maintaining employment in this position. Masters level license or Bachelor's of Social Work preferred.

Kitchen Staff

Dining Services is responsible for the preparation and serving of all meals, as well as managing the food service production and delivery system, including purchase and inventory of food and supplies. Dining Services staff ensure conformance with food quality, nutrition, and productivity standards. 

​

Transportation Crew Member

This is primarily a driving position to transport clients to and from Bear River Health. this individual must exercise considerable tact, discretion, and judgment. A vallid driver's license and CDL endorsement is required, as well as great customer service skills.

​

The position also involves maintenance of vehicles, such as washing, cleaning, sanitizing, etc. as needed.

​

Requires someone able to a flexible schedule.
